New skills and training
We know how important it is to give our residents opportunities to develop new skills — and to enable them to enhance their quality of life, build new interests, and boost their employability.
We support our residents to sustain their recovery beyond treatment services, and continue their progress in the community.
Our on-site social enterprise, polytunnels and allotment give our rehab residents the chance to channel their energies into a productive outlet, work as a team with a common purpose, connect with the natural environment, develop confidence and self-esteem, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of gardening. They also get to taste the fruits (and vegetables) of their labour at harvest time!
Each year, participants in our rehab programmes gather holly, berries and greenery from our grounds to create great Christmas wreaths — spreading the hopeful message of recovery across Lancashire and further afield!
We're keen to expand the range of training and skills based opportunities we offer through our social enterprise — and look forward to announcing exciting new opportunities soon.
